Sung C., Zhu Y., Chiang Y.
Abstract
In recent years, the study of ultrasonic waves has found indispensable applications in the real world. In this paper, the impedance of multilayered matching for ultrasonic piezo transducers was discussed. By extending the theory of transmission line, the impedances of matching layers for the transducer were analyzed and the maximally flat-top impedances response was obtained. An impedance matrix for the piezoelectric transducer was then derived from the piezoelectric wave equation which is called as the transmission matrix method. Using the transmission matrix method the mechanical impedance for the ultrasonic piezoelectric transducer was derived. Finally, the simulation results of the piezoelectric transducers with multilayered matching structure were shown.
