It is envisaged that this structured session would provide a forum for specialists in elastic wave generation and propagation in different types of solids and structures. This would include such important topics as wave propagation in layered plates and beams with applications to vibration damping, transmission and conversion of flexural and longitudinal waves at structural joints, generation and propagation of elastic waves in immersed structures, wave propagation and resonant vibrations in plates and shells, etc. It is believed that the proposed structured session would attract many conference participants interested in theoretical and experimental aspects of elastodynamics and its applications to vibration engineering.
