Abstract
Vold-Kalman filtering for order tracking of rotating machinery signals has the advantage that it computes order components in the time domain. Thus the order components can be subtracted from the original sound in sound quality applications, for example. In the present paper we compare the Vold-Kalman filters with other techniques such as FFT based order tracking with synchronously sampled signals. MATLAB implementations of all techniques are discussed.
