687 - Effective models of civil structures in dynamics based on measurement and optimization
Rosko P.
Abstract
The aim of the paper is the model creation of civil structures in dynamics. The effective small models are preferable. The contribution is concentrated on civil structure excited by earthquake. The measurement data of dynamic excitation and the structural response are available and used for model derivation. The dynamics of the structure is analyzed with help of modal analysis. The model creation consists of two steps: in the first one the degrees of freedom are defined and in the second one are the masses and stiffness optimized. Number of needed degrees of freedom is defined on the base of spectrum analysis of the measured structural response. The number of chosen degrees of freedom is pushed to minimum. Modes of the real structure implicate the position of concentrated masses. In the second part of the solution is the model optimized with help of mass and stiffness variables in the predefined degrees of freedom. The objective is the minimum error index between measured and calculated response of the structure. There are in principle two ways of the solution available: the optimization solution with help of sensitivities and optimization on the base of evolutionary algorithm. The simple model of multistory building as result of solved example demonstrates the introduced procedure.
