611 - An application of time-frequency signal analysis technique to estimate the impact mass on a plate type structure
Choi Y., Park J.
Abstract
The impact mass estimation technique on a plate type structure using acceleration response signals has been widely applied to the detection of loose parts in nuclear power plants. Conventionally, the estimation is achieved by using one dimensional signal analysis such as stationary Fourier transform. Recently, the two dimensional time-frequency analysis techniques have been introduced and the characteristics of those methods discussed. The experiment is being conducted to verify the usefulness of the time-frequency analysis for the mass estimation of the impact source.
