Ausejo M., Recuero M.
Abstract
The complete accomplishment of a noise map includes making a subjective study of the population. The more suitable tool is to carry out surveys among different sectors of the society. This paper analyzes the results obtained of the noise surveys carried out to the medical staff of Buenos Aires city. Specific surveys were designed and they were distributed in different hospitals (private and public). The area under study was the downtown, corresponding to 20 square km. A total of 121 valid surveys had been obtained, taking out medical and social conclusions to reduce the noise and to improve the life quality of the workers of the hospitals, patients and relatives. Several conclusions are extracted of the study, as social conscience, noise subjective evaluation, noise effects on people and proposals made by doctors to reduce noise in the hospitals.
