486 - Certified acoustical measurements according to ISO3382 of teatro colon - Buenos Aires - Argentina

Abstract
The Teatro Colon in the city of Buenos Aires - Argentina is undergoing restoration and conservation tasks. The preservation of the Acoustical Quality of this Opera House is being taken into account through the detailed measurement of the Acoustical Parameters of the hall according to international standard ISO 3382 and the Acoustical Properties of most important materials and surfaces. These assessments are presented at every step of the restoration process. Certification of the equipment and measurement procedure is being used as an integral part of the procedure. Comparison of these figures with previous measurements are presented along with acoustical simulations of the Hall.
