366 - Feedforward and feedback H2 and HINF controllers for active vibration control of a PZT laminated thin plate

Abstract
In this paper modeling and control of a simply supported thin plate are presented.The plate is modeled thoretically and experimentally while multiple collocated piezoelectric actuators and sensors attached to it.The first 5 modes of the plate between 0-500Hz are considered as in-bandwidth modes.In order to minimize the level of vibration at piezo sensors the feedback and feedforward MIMO H2 and Hinf controllers are applied and compared.The performance of the controllers are evaluated for disturbance rejection purpose.The results are also compared with the SISO case to show how increasing the complexity of the controller may improve the results.
