165 - Simulation of exhaust system noise using 1D-CFD calculation in a engine model
Miranda L.
Abstract
Using a 1D CFD code for engine simulation was possible to calculate the sound pressure propagates on the exhaust output pipes including the muffler. With combustion noise models is possible to simulate the acoustical transient response by full load condition. The optimization of the exhaust components is considerate with 3D Methods coupling to improve the acoustical characteristics of the noise emission in the engine model. The work methodology and audible results will be presented
