Step by Step Instructions for Cover Sheet Floppy

  • Copy and Paste cover.txt from the browser to a local file. You must follow the format given in cover.txt.

  • Fill in the fields that are applicable to you and save it to a floppy that is properly labeled. If there are fields which are not applicable to you, DO NOT REMOVE THEM. Just leave them blank.

  • A sample coversheet (Sample Cover 1) is given for a paper submitted to ICASSP-99 written by only one author who was also an author in another paper.

    A second sample coversheet (Sample Cover 2) is given for a paper submitted to ICASSP-99 derived from an original contribution and written by 3 authors two of whom were also authors in other papers submitted to ICASSP-99.

  • Please follow the following for each field:

    1. PaperTitle:Enter the paper title here (mandatory).

      Steps 2-11 require you to enter author information for every author of the paper. Make sure to not to remove excessive author information fields, just leave them blank. For any additional author (e.g. Step 3, Step 4, ...), simply follow the instructions for Step 2.

    2. Author1FirstName: Enter the first (or given name) of the first author. (mandatory)

      Author1MiddleInitial: Enter the initial of the middle name of the first author.

      Author1LastName: Enter the last name (or surname) of the first author. (mandatory)

      Author1Affiliation: Enter the first author's affiliation. (mandatory)

      Author1Email: Enter the first author's email address.

      Author1URL: Enter the first author's web address (URL).

      Author1Phone: Enter the first author's phone number.

    12. Step 12 requires information about the person or the contact name with whom ICASSP-99 will direct correspondence.

    13. ContactName: Enter the name of the contact person. (mandatory)

      ContactAddressLine1: Enter the contact's street address. (mandatory)

      ContactAddressLine2: Enter an optional second contact's street address line.

      ContactAddressCity: Enter the contact's city. (mandatory)

      ContactAddressStateOrProvince: Enter the contact's state or province. (mandatory)

      ContactAddressZipCode: Enter the contact's zip code. (mandatory)

      ContactAddressCountry: Enter the contact's country. (mandatory)

      ContactEmail: Enter the contact's email address. (mandatory)

      ContactPhone: Enter the contact's phone number. (mandatory)

      Step 13 requires information about the category in which your paper fits in. Give the two-digit classification (for example, 8.3) for each category. You are allowed to submit two paper categories: primary and secondary. The primary category is one which most closely describes the field your paper fits in. The secondary one is the paper category that is next closest match to the issue your paper addresses. Your submission will be reviewed primarily by the Technical Committee covering the area of your first choice.

    14. PaperCategory1: Enter the Primary Category. (mandatory)

      PaperCategory2: Enter the Secondary Category.

      Step 14 refers to the problem you have addresses in your paper. You can enter your comments on more than a single line by replacing the sample comment (<Please Fill in ... >) with your own comments For further help, look at the examples: Sample Cover 1 and Sample Cover 2.

      Step 15 refers to the possibility that your paper is based on an idea that is also the basis of other author's work. Please be explicit in stating how this contribution compares to those of other authors? (Comment replacing the sample comment (<Please Fill in . . .>) with your own comments, cite the previous work, and give references at the end of your paper). For further help, look at the examples: Sample Cover 1 and Sample Cover 2.

      Step 16 refers to the possibility that one of the authors of this paper is also an author or a co-author on other papers that are submitted to ICASSP-99. If an author on this paper has other contributions to this conference, please provide complete titles and authors by replacing the (<Please Fill in . . .>) comment with your own text. For further help, look at the examples: Sample Cover 1 and Sample Cover 2.

    17. IsAuthorAnAuthorOnOtherSubmissions: Choose Y for Yes or N for No. (mandatory)

      BeginOtherPaperTitlesandAuthors:

      Fill in if and only if one or (more authors) of this paper is a contributor to another paper submitted at ICASSP-99. In that case, list the title of that paper(s) and name(s) of the author(s).

    18. Please enter the abstract of the paper in Step 17. The abstract must be identical to the one appearing on the paper. It must be plain ASCII and must not contain any equations and citations. (mandatory)
