Project Work

Project 1
Title: Gesture & emotion transference: real time motion tracking for moving Second Life avatar
Description: This project aims to use of Microsoft Kinect to control Second Life avatar using hand gestures. These project may allow the user to feel a deeper emotional connection to the social gesture performed by their virtual avatar. For example, instead of having to think about pressing the right sequence of keys to make a ‘wave’ gesture, the user can simply raise their hand and wave.
Language: C#

Project 2
Title: Gesture-based interface: real time gesture recognition for controlling Second Life
Description: The project aims at developing a program for recognising a set of gestures executed in front of the Microsoft Kinect. The system will work in real time and will emulate keyboard input triggered by body posture and specific gestures.
Language: C#
