*)  The Acrobat files on this CDROM have file names which are based
    on the paper number of the manuscript (and NOT its page number).
    Refer to \WELCOME.TXT for information about the file naming
    convention.  The final proceedings page numbers were not known
    at the time of publication.

*)  Due to the possibility of some postscript-derived Acrobat files
    causing wierd font behaviour in Acrobat Reader on some systems,
    all papers have been included in rasterized versions as well
    as the optional postscript-derived versions.  The rasterized
    versions were generated either by scanning or rendering of the
    postscript.

*)  The manuscripts for ICSLP'98 are a mixture of electronically submitted
    manuscripts and scanned manuscripts.  Where available, both
    copies are provided on this CDROM.

*)  The MOVIE file accompanying paper #158 called \MULTIMED\0158_01.MOV
    will not play using Quicktime.  Causal has been unable to play this
    movie using QUICKTIME or WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER.

*)  WARNING: The executable program WINMSF.EXE submitted by the 
    authors of paper #692 stored in MULTIMED\0692_XTR.ZIP is flagged
    by NORTON ANTIVIRUS 5.00 as containing a virus.  We have 
    renamed the original file as VIRUS.EXE within the ZIP archive,
    and replaced WINMSF.EXE in the ZIP archive with a disinfected version
    generated by NORTON ANTIVIRUS 5.00.
