Blocks of sleeping rooms are being held at special ICASSP '98 rates at the Sheraton, the Conference headquarters hotel, as well as other four hotels within walking distance of the Convention and Trade Center. The Hotel Reservation Form must be used to make a room reservation and must be sent ONLY to the Housing Bureau. Please read the instructions carefully and fill out the form completely and clearly. If these hotels are sold out, your reservation request will be forwarded to a nearby hotel that offers rooms at similar rates during the week of the conference. Several of the participating hotels also offer a very limited number of government-rate rooms for ICASSP '98 participants who are employed directly by either their State or the Federal government. Those attendees who qualify for a government rate must contact their chosen hotel directly, mention that they are a part of ICASSP '98 and must present the proper identification at the hotel's front desk upon check-in. The Housing Bureau will not book government-rate rooms. Individuals must do that themselves. If you have any problem at all with your room reservation, DO NOT contact the Conference Management. Only the Seattle Housing Bureau can locate rooms and make the appropriate reservations for ICASSP '98 attendees.
